Implementation Security Management System

Description:
A large petrochemical company wants to improve the security level of two different refineries. For this purpose several actions are taken, for example a new security centre.

vhp has worked out the following subjects in de first plans:

• What are the most important business processes of the security centre? These are established in flowcharts.
• Which tasks exist and how are they allocated between the work stations? How many people are needed to staff the security centre in different situations? This is established in a staff plan.
• What is the best layout for the room? This is established in a functional design.
• How can the user interface of the Security Management System best be configured? This is established in a Functional Specification for the Graphical User Interface (GUI)

In the next phase vhp has guided the realisation. The focus was especially on the configuration of the Security Management System. Together with the supplier the GUI is worked out so that the internal business processes like entrance control, camera monitoring and alarm monitoring are supported.

The end result is that the guards work in a most efficient control room where all the details support the tasks.
